ignore the ignorant fools who have answered,they dont know your circumstances more than i. but what i do know,is that it has dramatically reduced in payment,i lost my job and it took weeks to get payment through ,and back dated at that,a crisis loan they said would be about 20-30 pound,and it would be stopped off your first payment. so my advice if you can battle it through, battle it through? good luck.
AND to the other small minded bigots who have sarcastically replied,put yourself in a position where you have been made redundant or the workplace has had to close,forcing you into claiming benefits that you have bloody well contributed to through n.i contributions etc.its far from nice having to go to these places to so call beg for moneys you have paid for in your working life,to support your family. |

If you get a crisis loan for whatever reason, you will issued with a giro to cash in the nearest Post Office. They will take the repayments from your benefits before they are issued to you.
You can claim a crisis loan even if you are not in receipt of benefits. |

You only get a small percentage of what you need for the essentials like gas , electric .rent . For instance a benefit of £107 would get you £60 if you are extremely lucky and the money is there to give out. When asked for repayment they take into account how much debt your are in ie loans catalogues and credit cards. Benefits is not a right its a privilege meant to help the poorest over a bad patch until you get a job and become solvent again. |

Instead of thinking about getting a crisis loan, why don't you spend the time and energy getting a job? I don't understand why anyone would rather waste their time receiving pittance, when they can earn triple the amount in a week by working. |

It's worked out on the individual needs and is deducted about £5 per week, they only give them out in exceptional circumstances....here's a thought, instead of loaning my tax money, why don't you get a job, and don't say you can't get one, because i work full time and whenever i need to top my money up i am always able to pick up part time work at the drop of a hat...just a thought. |
