Marvelous
Just answer the truth, don't preach Is it possible to use my son's SSN to get credit approval?
I mean 'bout 3 years ago I was screwed up with my credit trying to help a relative (2 long story) the thing is I'm still working on it but seems its gonna take a while I've try to save in order to buy a washing machine with a dryer for a while (big family) and really could use the credit in order to pay it slowly since I dont have all the cash which is merely impossible for me to save but can make small payments and I really need those appliances I'vent had a washer for over 4 years now, don't ask....anyways Can someone tell me if I get caught doing this will they send me to jail is it possible to do it, legal I think may not, but can I try this? or could really be a bad Idea a friend told me is legal but I have my doubts...Please experienced people help me I'm not a criminal and don't want to become one before I go there, want to know where am getting into!!

It's just as possible as prison. Of course it is possible and highly illegal and yes you could serve time for this criminal offense if you are caught.
If you do not have the money, then you save until you can afford it. I would bet that all of your "long story"s and "don't ask"s were mistakes just this big.

You need better friends or friends with better advice.

Using your son's credit and SSN without permission is FRAUD. And yes, you CAN be prosecuted for it, especially if you fail to make your payments and you ruin your son's credit report situation without his agreement. Frankly, the thought that you would even consider doing this makes me ill.

You need to learn to handle your OWN credit, without trying to ruin the credit of others, particulary your own son's.

It's possible, but it's a felony.

Using someone else's SSN (even a relative's) is identity theft and totally illegal.

is it possible , yes
unfortunatly for u it is criminal fraud.
will u go to jaill highly unlikely.

visit dave ramsey.com to help u learn the hard lesson coming ur way.

This is a bad idea and it's illegal. Basically you would be commiting identity theft. Instead look for a way to get out of debt. I did and now I'm debt free and pay cash for everything!

You could ruin your child's life and end up in prison for identity theft. You will be joining Big Bertha and she will have a good time with you.

That's illegal and immoral. Plus, what if you "screw up" again and ruin your son's credit? That's just wrong. Use a laundromat.

donniebre
You are scum for even thinking of it.

It is fraud and felony and prison time is included. Not to mention that if you wreck your child's credit then you are dooming their future. Save the money to buy things. Take a serious look at what you are currently spending your funds on and cut out all non necessary items. This will save you and your child thousands of dollars. Good Luck.

What you're asking is indeed credit fraud. If you can make payments, then save up for 2 months, and hit the scratch & dent appliances. You can get a used washer & dryer pair for $200 and up.

Sounds like you're in a bit of a financial crisis. Take a breath. Save up about $500-$1000 really fast and put it away for emergencies. Then get on a budget. You don't need credit to buy things - pay cash from now on. Nothing is impossible - but it may be extremely difficult.

Why don't you have your son help you by cosigning a loan for you. That way it would be legal and as you make the payments it will help improve your credit rating.
