J. C | Just got approved for a capital one credit card? |
OK, so if you read my past questions you can see that I have tried desperatly to get credit to buy a PC from for School. so Capital One approved me for a credit card after I got one of their letters saying that I have been pre-approved, anyways, I logged in online at work and filled out the application and POOM I was approved, but thet say my credit limit will not knot be know until I receive my credit card within 7 to 10 business days, has anybody else applied for a cc for capital one?, if so what was your credit, Thanks |

I don't have a capital one credit card, but in my experience if it is your first credit card they will probably start you off with a lower limit. I would guess around $200 - $500. |

Get rid of it... NOW! Before it's too late! |

they give you$300 limit until you have made regular payments for a certain amount of time |

be careful! the capital one starter cards can have outrageous interest rates. i learned that myself first hand! also, they typically start your limit pretty low and work it up based on your payment history.
i cannot stress enough to be careful though, they love to charge the fees! |

With out a prior credit history or a poor history you will get a card with a 300-500 credit limit. Almost immediately you will be hit with a 49-89 dollar annual fee. |

It all depends....I got approved for Capital One Standard Card about 3 months ago and my limit is $1,000, however I have an established credit history but with some problems so my card is for people whose credit needs improvement and it has no annual fee with interest rate of 17%....if this is your first credit card and you have no credit history then expect your limit to be between $300-$500 if not it could be something like $1,000.....also I'm not sure if it depends on other factors i.e income, type of card, etc ---- also everyones credit is different so it's kinda hard to say
Good Luck with your computer |

They start you off with $300 and after a couple months they extend it to $500.00. I don't know if that will be enough to buy your PC. You might have to try calling dell.com directly and see if they can approve you for one of their computer loans. |

Since you're getting a secured card from them, the standard credit limit is only $300. After a few months of good payments they might increase it to $500. Don't get your hopes up too high. The only thing you can be sure of is insanely high interest rates. Use sparingly. |

$300 minus - 70? that's an estimate on the yearly fee, minus any other services you may have enrolled in payment protection, credit reporting service. So you're line of credit will most likely be less that 250.00. I would suggest buying a used computer and paying it off in a few months, you are going to need good credit FOREVER, and C1 is a good place to start, you just need to watch out for fees. Also after 3 months of on time payments you will be increased to a 500 limit. |
