Looking for a credit card?
I'm 18 and i am looking to build credit. I am trying to find a credit card but I cant find any good ones. All the credit cards I applied for said I need credit to get this card. And all the other cards available for me have ridiculous fees. What credit card has no fees and is good for someone who has no credit?

go to any bank and ask for a credit card, they will ask for various details. since you are 18, you are not a earning guy, so you need to have some credit, but again its depend on your family background. go to barklays bank and ask for credit card, they will give on your family background.

No credit --> start small and BUILD!

Start with macy*s, old navy, or Express for Men.

Open the account and do the following:

1) charge one item within your credit line
2) receive the billing statement
3) pay the bill by the payment due date

repeat steps 1-3 for 12 months (it's okay to buy one pair of socks!)

After 12 months, apply ONCE for a better card to test the waters. If denied, repeat steps 1-3 and try again 12 months later.

At this time you have 2 years of on-time payments with a very small creditor. Somebody will probably want to take a risk on you.

Using the small retail card to qualify for an upgrade to a better clientele of credit cards should be your strategy.

American Blue Express Credit Card: Apart from no annual fee feature of the American Blue Express it also gives cash returns on specific purchases. Users of the American Blue Express also enjoy protection against fraud for online credit card transactions. This card tries to right the various wrong notions about the American Express credit cards, one of which is that it is a credit card only for rich or those who have money to keep a credit card.

if you are looking to build credit you will not be able to find a card with out any fees your best bet is get what ever they approve you for use it for a few months 6-9 months and then apply for a better one and cancel the first one, check out www.fastcreditcardapprovals.com and go under poor or no credit section, good luck

Why do you want to build credit?

you have to borrow money and make payments on time to get a high score.
you have to keep borrowoing money and keep making payments on time to keep a high score.
All you get is debt.

Pay as you go. Live on less than you make and you will have money.

Orchard Bank has a great card. It does have an annual fee but it's only $35.00. It's a secured card, which means that you need to open a savings account with them, and your credit line will be equal to the amount in your savings account. This is the best offer I've seen for someone who has no credit.
