Right They are going to sting you for an already overpriced car and then p+ss on you again by charging you 29.9 % apr interest. So Your question should be.....Why Am I a fcuk wit with money? |
|

29.9% you will be lucky. Try more along the lines of 42.9%. Don't do it when they tell you the flat rate is 17% they are talking crap. |

Watch the interest rate- anyone who has bad credit history and gets offered things is done so on a massive rate. If you look at the bottom of Welcome car finance (and similar) adverts it says- as an example- 'price of car purchase £13,000, actual amount paid back £45,212'.
My advice to you would be to not borrow money that way, it will cost you a hell of a lot more in the long run plus the cra isn't yours until it is fully paid off. I would suggest not to take out any loans or finace for the next 6months and this should bring your credit file back up to being good again. You may even find it is something silly that has made your credit history bad (my mum has a blip on her file because SHE had turned down a mortgage and they put it had been refused!!??) often if you send off for your credit file this is very useful and you can se what is making it poor. Experian is the best one as the first viewing is free. |

I had bad credit and bought a car through welcome finance.
It was 3500 and I was paying 250 per month for 3 years.
The finance wasnt too bad, it was they're payment protection insurace that was crippling. 80 quid a month.
I wasnt even asked if i wanted it, was just told the best price they could offer me was 250 p/m.
Also watch out for the 'pay half and give back if you dont like it' deals. You still have to pay the insurance.
I ended up getting a personal loan off them for 1500, buying another car with it, bumping both loans and starting a protected trust deed and paying off all my debts over 3 years. |

Everybody here is right Deb. You probably ought not to do it. A loan on a new car today is around 7% or so. So don't borrow unless you can get a rate around that or you will be paying for the rest of your life. Probably even after the salesman has died and the dealership is burned down by some angry customer. (maybe you) Don't buy new either!

Auto finance is what I do for a living and I must admit, I have never heard of these people.
But, after reading some of the other posters, I would recommend that you try H.S.B.C., Capital-One, Wells Fargo and Citifinancial Auto before you go with this company.
These are my 4-best special finance banks. All 4 report to all three credit bureaus and are fairly liberal about who they will approve. |

PLEASE DO NOT DO IT!!! YOU WILL END UP IN MORE STICKY FINANCIAL SITUATIONS BY GOING WITH THEM!!! |

Outfits like this prey on people with poor credit ratings because they know they won't get credit anywhere else - as a result, if you WANT credit, you'll accept almost any APR. Ultimately, the question you need to ask yourself is whether or not you can afford the monthly repayments. Regardless of what the APR may be, if you're happy to pay what they calculate your repayments to be, and you get your car into the bargain, it's worth considering.
Meanwhile, work on getting your credit rating improved so you can go to a decent high street lender in future and get a more attractive APR. |

These people are right,to make up for your RISK of not paying, the Car Dealership have to make all their money off you early,so their loss in the end is less, when you decide not to pay. That is achieved with high rates, and the rate can go up if your late on any account in your credit profile. If your late with a C/C,they can raise your car rate, because your in danger of defaulting.90% of americans pay their bills on time, the other 10% suffer. |

We borrowed money through Welcome for car finance (one we found not on one of their cars). We also had a bad credit history and we did get a rate of 17%. After 2 years it was paid off and the car was ours. We found them very helpful and they even lowered our last two payments because my partner had to take time off work to look after me after an operation. Think very carefully before you agree to anything and find out what the APR will be before you do anything or sign anything. |
