don't be stupid...DON'T get a payday loan. Those things are more evil than a credit card company. And if you think they don't charge high interest at all of those places you are sadly mistaken.

In a nutshell you should realize that a payday loan doesn't appear to have high interest rates it just means that they are hiding them with fees. If you borrow 1000 from one they will set it up to be paid back in a month.. when the month gets there you go in and they say sure no problem if you only have 250, they will just take your 250, apply 50 of it to the 1000 loan you had to start with and then reloan you 950 to pay off the rest of the loan... the other 200 will be eaten up by fees. That will continue until your paid off in about 20 months. during which time you will have them 5,000 and they will have charged you 0 interest. In other words they will rip you off in fees for all they can, they don't care about interest because the fees aren't regulated. Interest rates do have limits on them.
Please do yourself a favor and look at the web site above, find another source of money... frankly you would be better off selling your self as a prostitute than letting a payday loan company get their hooks into you. |

Don't do it! Those places are all HUGE scam artists! They're taking advantage of your negative situation and making it worse! They know that 99% of their "customers" can't pay them back like they think they can and they end up racking up the interest payments. If you need a loan or cash advance NOW why won't you need it a month from now?
Never borrow money, always pay cash! If someone is breathing down your neck to get you to pay a credit card bill, tell them to shut up, you'll pay them later, but now I've got to eat and pay my rent! Take care of your necessities first and THEN worry about those other debts. |

first off you make it difficult to help you when you leave out such critical details as how much money you think you need or what you need it for.
By the fact that you mention your son had surgery, lets start with the hospital/doctor bills. Those are the last things you worry about... you can talk to the hospital/doctor and generally work out a long term payback plan with no interest. depending on your financial situation and where you live there may also be state sponsored programs that can cover those costs... don't allow yourself to be strong armed into giving all your money to a hospital or doctor, some hospitals try to bully people into paying all the debt or in larger payments than they can afford. Hold tough.
So your next issue are the food, housing and such. For food you should consider looking at local charities, some churches provide food for needy families (also food stamps is an option when you are in a bind especially easy to get for the welfare of small children)... housing is tough, you can talk to the lender and try to work something out, this is the hardest one sometimes to manage. Understand that most areas have a salvation army which can sometimes help in assistance... start by cutting back on expenses you can do without... the last thing you want to do right now if your credit is bad is borrow more money from a bank, payday place or any other lender.
Things can be tough but you need to swallow your pride and ask for help. I can guarantee that if you go to a payday loan joint or other lender that lends to people with less than stellar credit that you will be financially ruined in less than 2 years... maybe in 6 months. Those places will destroy you.
If you are completely clueless look for a social services office near you... the first step is to ask for help. |
