so i am 18 years old
and i recently applied for a macys card..
they definetly sent me a letter in the mail
declining me of the card. They said it was because
i provided "Invalid information"
do you think they are lying to me?
this would have been my first card ever...and i dont have a cell phone neither..meaning i never put a phone under my name..and paid any type of bill on my own. I am trying to build my credit up and i was gonna use the card a couple of times and pay them back with no issue....but how can i if i was declined of a macys card!? I never knew that this could happen. |

You are the only one who knows what information you write on the application......If they respond with that answered you have to be careful because they think you submit a fraudulent information and based on your credit report the information your submit is not accurate....
You also need to be working part time or full time....Banks or company do not approve IF the person is not working and have more than 2 years on the company or work... |

Do you have a job? If so, I would apply again, or you can call them and ask what invalid information? If you don't have a job or any income, you may have trouble, otherwise I don't see why you would. |

Get a secured credit card. Ask about it at your bank. It will build your credit. |

Of all the credit cards, department stores be it Macy's, Best Buy, Lowe's, don't give credit to those who have none, sorry, What you need to do is get a secured credit card or even a small loan from your bank pay it off and soon you will have a credit history,
sad but true its said the one who has bad credit is better then one who has no credit history |

take it from me, that's probably the best thing that could happen to you. you want to build your credit, the best way is to buy a used car. if you really want a credit card that bad, that's the way to go. |

1) Full Name
2) Date of Birth
3) Address (Civic not PO Box)
4) Phone Number

Well the done lie to you, If there was anither reason credit card companies will say.
If you gave a wrong sin # or wrong job contact info, or wong birth date thats why they wouuld say you gave invalid info., You can call their credit department and they will tell you exactly why. |

When they say you provide "invalid information"
the info you provided to them is invalid (like input the wrong digit in your social security number, address, phone number, credit, income, job)They can't verify your information. When they can't verify your information, they have no choice but to deny you. |

I would advise you to look on the letter you received to contact them in regards to this. If you truly did not lie, then maybe it is something else. I woul verify my name, address, school, date of birth, income & employer with them to ensure they did not goof up. On the letter they most likely did provide a # or an address to contact them if you feel the information is incorrect. |

bring ur secrurity card or mayb someting tat have ur neam ur address when u were born ect... and go to macys and find out y u cant register 1. i dont think they r lying 2 u but 4 1 thing is, i think they read ur infos wrong. but i dont no. |

There is usually a phone number on the letter you receive to call for any questions, I'd cal it and talk to a representative |
