I had a brain malfunction in March and forgot to make my car payment. I got a call from the lein holder and they told me I was 22 days late. I paid the payment and the late fees immediately. Is this going to hurt me at all or is it no big deal? This is my only late payment ever, on anything. |

don't worry, not a big deal as long it doesn't happen to often. Well you should not paid the late fees right away, you could have tried to talk it out. You are paying enough interest on your car. So that doesn't happen again, schedule a monthly payment with you bank, so it transfer the amount automatically every month banks do it free of charge. |

A late pay usually drops off after 6 months so as long as you pay subsequent payments on time you will be fine. Good Luck! |

not really, they will make a note of it in your file and that is about it...just remember to make the payment next time, and if you do forget...call them first and tell them you had a brain malfunction and will be paying the next day |

It shouldn't hurt since you've only had one late payment. If it becomes regular, it could end up on your credit reports. The best way to avoid it is to have the payment automatically drafted from your bank account. That's how I pay all my regular bills (i.e. student loans, phone, insurance, etc.). |

No, as long you didn't make it to the 30th day. Thats when they will report it on your credit report. |
