If you mailed in a payment that they had not yet received and then went ahead and paid online anyway and then they receive the payment you mailed in no they will not disregard the payment that came by mail, they will cash the check and apply it towards your account....if it arrives after the cycling date many credit card companies will apply it to the next months bill and so you won't have a payment due for awhile, but if it arrives before the bill cycles again you will have just made a double payment for the month.

The only way of stopping the check you mailed from going through is by calling your bank and doing a stop payment on the check...it really depends on the size of the check if it's even worth it because your bank does charge you a fee for stop payment...if it was a large payment then the fee would probably be no biggie, but if you just sent in like $25-$30 then the fee is not worth it because it will end up costing you more.

Usually, if its post marked before the due date you are good... But call Bank of America and tell them its on the way. They will sometimes extend time for you... otherwise you get a 20-50 dollar late fee and your interest will default to the highest rate possiable; likely 24%

But you should be ok..its not that late

A few things- first, pay over the phone. You can let both payments go through, and you will have a credit. OR, pay over the phone and cancel the check.

They may accept your payment, and you will have paid double this month. If you want to avoid a late payment, I suggest paying immediately, but unless you call them, they will most likely accept your check and you will have made a large payment this month.

Both payments will be credited to your account.

No....they will credit your account with the check you sent in It's like you made another payment.

Stopping the check will cost you $20 and even if you call your CC company and tell them to not deposit it, more then likely they will do it anyway, it will be returned because of the stop payment and you will get charged for a return check.

They won't disregard you mailed check if you pay online/over the phone. You may want to read the info regarding late fees and penalties that came with your credit card to see if there is a fee and how much it is.
If by making this month's payement you've also payed the card off(This is if you pay online or by phone)the mailed check will most likely take care of any late fees, and the extra money will probably go toward the next billing cycle.

They will cash the check too they may already have cashed it.

You should call the bank and issue a "stop pay" on that check and then contact the credit card company and have them add an alert on your account that a check is en route and should be ignored since you already paid the bill.

This will give you maximum visibility in case they try to cash the check anyway, your stop pay makes it bounce, and then they try to charge you for it.
