check with the store first, then call the card company. |

I have the same situation as you do. You have to call the credit card company and tell them about it. It is possible that you will have to show them a copy of the receipt for proof that you have only made one transaction and not two. |

I would call the store and ask them about it. Sometimes they can reverse the charges from there. If they say they won't be able to do it, I would write a letter to the credit card company explaining all that happened and ask them to reverse that extra charge. |

First call the store and give them the opportunity to remedy the situation. If they don't, dispute the charge with your credit card company. |

Okay, working at a retail store, I can tell you that we're powerless to do anything. You bring it to the store, they're just gonna tell you to call your credit card company, so but out the middleman and do that. |

Bring the statement and your reciept (if you still have it...you should keep them for this very reason) to the store. They should be able to refund your card the ammount charged. |

Call the credit card co. The store doesn't know what's on your bill. |

Go to the store first, and explain the situation. Bring the receipt and the merchandise as well, and they should give you a refund. If not, then you can call your credit card company. |

You call your credit card company. They will be the one who will remove it from your charges. They ask for proof from you like your receipt. Then they will deal with the store. If the store Can prove that you did actually buy the item twice then they might contest your claim but normally, they just take that off your bill. |

You need to go to the store so that they can credit you. If you call, all they are going to do is tell you to come in with the credit card so that they may credit you. |

Call Cred. Card comp. first. It is there responsibility to call the store. They will handle it. And trust me! No store will go up against a major Credit card comp. when it comes to disputing a transaction. Let them handle it for you. |

That happened to me at a quite reputable store in NYC and they would not resolve it over the phone. I had to bring in the credit card bill, and still they questioned whether I had bought two items for the exact same price (how ludicrous!). I finally spoke to the manager who saw the "time" on the credit card bill was identical and refunded my money. |

You can call your credit company to dispute the charge, but they may tell you that you need to contact the store. This just happened to my hubby through hotwire, but it's not really a store.
Good luck! |

Contact the store with your credit card statement and do speak with the store manager. If they will not help then contact your credit card company and ACCC if any of these do not work. |
