Absolutely you would qualify under first time buyers program....just don't pay sticker price..my dad was a car sales manager and you can get $3,000.00 off sticker price....don't tell them about a trade in until you get the bottom line price then check the blue book for the price on your trade in....and stick with it....a new car is easier to get than a used one....right now ..this month is the best time to look for a car...they are willing to make great deals to get rid of the 2008 models....if you like one rent it for a few days and see if this is what you want for 4 years or longer....

Good Luck....I Hope You Find What You Want

Go to your bank and try to get financing before you go shopping.

Depends on the price of the car. A used car is more easy to buy.
686 is a good score but you have to have a long credit history in the back
avoid aplying for credit cards loans etc becouse they will lower your credit score.
My opinion. you will be able to buy a 3000-4000 dollar car.For a more expensive car you are a high risk

Do you have a bank account? Have you talked to them? I mean REALLY talked to them?

Do you belong to a credit union? Have you tried them?

You didn't mention a job. I trust you have one.

Remember that you have to sell yourself to your bank or credit union. If you have had an account for awhile and used it responsibly, you may well get them to give you a loan but you will need a down payment of at least 20%.

Be sure to not buy more car than you can afford. That means 3 years of payments. If you can't afford that, find a cheaper car or wait.

Do you have a relative who trusts you? That is another resource. You can set up automatic monthly payments from your bank account to theirs so each payment will be timely. You should offer at least 6% interest to make it attractive to them. And don't mess up! Your future is based on your reputation. Keep it sterling.

With only 3 months of credit card history, I'm very surprised you have that high of a score.

Your score is only a small part of the credit decision process. The length of your credit history is major -- yours is just too new and limited. Your employment history, wages, and debt to income ratio are other major factors. How much are you financing and how much down -- you would need a very large downpayment.

yeah you should, your credit is pretty good

it would be hard to get a loan with that score unless you have a good amount of down payment.

Ok , your credit is just ok but problem is your paystuff - Iam 100% sure is you need co-sign to get more income . They'll need $1500 up for income to get an car loan .

Silly-Me
Car dealers are DESPERATE for business right now. Not sure why you would not be able to get a loan, your score seems pretty good to me.
