My credit score is around 520. Is it possible to get unsecured credit?
If so, please tell me where.

you will probably need to start with a secured card. you can always try orchard but if they won't give you an unsecured card, don't bother with to many other places. try store cards like walmart or target.

Kokopelli
Probably not. 520 is just about as low as you can go. I doubt if you could even get a department store charge card with a low score like that.

You must have really screwed up bigtime. Now it's time to pay the piper.

kentata
Probably not. However, get a secured card first (Like Orchard Bank), and start building your credit.

Or, try your bank ... if you have an established relationship with one, they may be willing to work with you.

Harvy S
You could try this mastercard. It is not secured. It reports to all 3 credit agencies so you can rebuild your credit too.

If you have a credit score of 520, the last thing you need is a credit card.

franhogan
Nope. I recently worked in banking and can tell you that you can't get a much lower score. Repair the damage that YOU'VE done to your credit history if you expect to get someone to trust you to repay your debt (and do what you promise to do).

(You might be able to get a v-e-r-y high interest rate credit card with a 520 score.)

GOOD LUCK!!

Flower Girl
Maybe, with a $200 limit! Should have maintained your credit!

Unfortunately, if it were me I would do my best to get out of any debt that I was currently in before looking into adding more. Credit cards are such a trap and even the smartest of people can get into trouble with them. I myself at one time was there as well. I even had to file bankruptcy at the age of 23!! All because of credit cards, nothing else! However, in this day and age almost all of us need some sort of credit history to get by, for a car or a new home, etc... If you decide to get one, I'd start out with a secured card, it's a good way to build your credit and your savings! And after sometime if you prove yourself worthy they will give your security back and make your card unsecured! But if you really must, Orchard Bank or First Premier Bank would be your most likely options, but be prepared for outrageous interest rates!!! Good luck!
