Why would you do that? You could just pay the bill and that is it? You could add yourself to the account, but not transfer it to your name, that is not possible, she was the one who opened the account, she is the one responsible legally for it, they don't care who pays, it just can not be transferred! Sorry it is their policy!

You can't transfer the actual credit card, but what you can do is do a balance transfer to a card that you have so that you assume liability for the debt. This may make sense if your credit is better and your interest rates are lower.
A heck of a lot of risk to take on for yourself though.... |

No you can not transfer her credit card to you, but you can pay the bill or balance transfer to your credit card. |

You can do just about anything you want, but the card will remain in your fiance name. The bank has a contract with your fiance and not you. It cannot be transferred. |

The credit card company will not let you transfer responsibility because they credit checked your fiance, not you. The only way to transfer the debt would be for you to apply for your own card and then complete a balance transfer. Which, to be honest, would probably give you a cheaper rate of interest. Alot of companies now offer a very low rate for the life of the balance. |
