Call the bank.
Many banks have service centers that are open, even when the banks are not. The toll-free number should be right on your card.
Have the card cancelled, and a new one issued. |

Cancel it and open another account. I know it sounds like a big deal to do all that, but she'll keep "borrowing" it if you dont.... |

CALL YOUR BANK AND BLOCK THE CARD. WHEN THEY SEND U A NEW CARD IT HAS A NEW 16 DIGIT NUMBER ON IT. WHEN THE MERCHANT TRIES TO CHARGE THE CARD, THEY WILL USE THE CARD NUMBER ON FILE(THAT'S YOUR OLD CARD NUMBER). THE PURCHASE WILL BE DECLINED AS THE NUMBER WILL BE INVALID( SINCE U ALREADY BLOCK THAT CARD). //////HOPE THE SOLUTION WAS NOT CONFUSING. I AM A SERVICE CENTER REP WITH CITIBANK. MESSAGE ME BACK IF U HAVE ANY DOUBTS |

It's all up to your bank. Go there and find out... |

Inform both the bank and Blockbuster in writing that any charges from Blockbuster to the card are unauthorized.
The Blockbuster manager is wrong. There is something he can do, cancel your roommates Rental Pass. If she signed your name, its your account to cancel. If she signed her name, it doesn't match the card and he should have known it was illegal when she signed up. |

Oh wow! What a friend! I think that you should call your debit card provider immediately and report your card lost/stolen. If you report your card lost of stolen, you will not be responsible of the charges incurred after your card is reported and the bank will send you a new card with a new number.
I hope that this answer was helpful! |

Go to your bank and explain to them what happened. then kick your roommate out. It is no good to live with someone who you don't trust. tell that roommate to find another place. Give her 30 days to find a place. |

First of all Block Buster is Supposed to ask for ID. Name on the card and ID don't match they should have never swiped your card. Your roommates a B***H and you should whup dat A$$!
You need to go back with your roommate to the same clerk and give him a ton of crap and if she doesn't go with you PRESS CHARGES. Is she freakin' nuts!!!! Oh, and cancel that card. |

She borrows your card without your permission AND she refuses to remove your number from her account???
I am trying to figure out which one of you girls is more crazy, but it must be you (for still talking to her and letting her get away with it).
Girl, go to your bank (soon!) and explain it all. Have it all blocked!
And when you're done with that, tell your room mate to start packing her bags before she regrets ever being near you or your stuff!!
Honestly girl, you need that person out of your life. |

Call the bank and get a new debit card issued. Cancel the old one. Tell your roommate to keep her hands off your stuff. |

Do like other said. Report it lost. (Don't report it stolen they will need a police report.) This way your card will be hot listed and blockbuster will not be able to charge your card and it won't be transferred to the new card. If the bank charges a replacement fee for the card. Have the roommate pay for this.
I hate blockbuster with a passion. I don't even like there terms. They have been sued so much. That you agree to opt out of any class action suit and if you have a disagreement you must use arbitration and can not take them to court. This contact is being challenge in court.
You may have to pay the one charge. The merchant should of not taken that card to begin with. |

Report it stolen, cause it technically was!
File a police report. Your so called friend is using you! She needs to learn pronto not to abuse people. Put her in jail!
Go to the bank cancel that account, start a new one, get a locking safe. Find a hiding spot. Find a new friend.
Go back to Blockbuster or contact via email, they will be committing fraud if they use the card. Don't know how she could use it, cause the names could not match up. |

Call your bank there are ways in which your back will work with you to get rid of these charges and may be able to help you press charges against her. I would not take this lightly. But definatly call your back they should be able to help you out and be able to tell you the options in which you have and any alternatives. You should also have the card cancelled cause she may have memorized your number and such. Make sure to take care of this asap! |

If you report it to the police, it will solve all your problems. You won't have to worry about any charges on your card, and you won't have to worry about your room mate because they will lock her up long enough for you to get all of her stuff and throw it out. |

I believe that here in Colorado using your debit card without your consent is a felony. You should report her to the police for stealing your debit card. The bank may only want to reverse any charges, or cancel the charges if you file a police report. Not good for your room mate, but IMHO that is not acceptable behavior and you should be finding a new room mate ASAP. |
