get a pre-paid card at any giant, safeway, or cvs. you can use those cards the minute after you buy them! but if u plan to use it online, you must activate it first which takes about thirty seconds once u r on the website. |

You can't unless its the prepaid one. I got a visa Captiol One credit card and it took about a month after I filled the application out to get approved. |

It would be hard to accept you initially if you haven't already had a credit card, unless you got a loan on something else under your name (probably with a co-signer?)
You can usually go to the retailer in question and ask for a credit card. Just about everyone has one for people these days. |

Capital one is the first credit card I was every approved for. I believe they will give you something you can print out having your acct. number on there.
Or go to your bank and apply for one of their cards and they should give you a temporary card. Target, Kohls and other departments stores also do this. |

You can apply at Wal-mart stores for a credit card and use it the same day, but it has to be used to payfor stuff at walmart |

The only places that usually do that are when you go into department stores, and you can only use their cards at that store, plus they dont give you the number, they just give you a slip with a barcode that is a temporary card. |

Around here, they sell some prepaid credit cards at gas stations, they could sell them somewhere else but I don't know for sure because I never had to get one. If I were you, I would check with your local gas station and see if they sell them. Good luck. |

citi card will open one over the phone with you. As long as you are approved they will give you the card # but you probably have to ask, otherwise you need to wait for it in the mail. |
