I am in a bind. I have poor credit and need to start fresh. I have been denied by every bank out there . I just want to get a consolidation loan and payoff all my debt and make one loan payment and improve my credit. I have credit cards and two payloans to payoff at this time. In the past I have had late payments and a car repo (2001). Can anyone give me some options?

Have you tried a credit counseling program? They consolidate all of your credit cards and you can make just one low monthly payment. I know that there is one called Christian Credit Counseling. If you google credit counseling you should come up with something that will help. Good Luck. |

Since you have been denied, I doubt you'll get one. The best advice I've gotten is to pay off the credit card with the highest interest rates, pay as much as you can on the balance until it's paid off, while paying the minumum on the other ones. Then when that one is paid off, start on the next one. When a card is paid off, keep the account open with a $0 balance. This will help your score. In your case, you probably need to focus on getting those payday loans paid off first because they usually have large interest rates. It's going to take time but that's going to be the only way to improve your score. Pay on time and keep it rolling. |

You need to rethink your priorities and expenditures. This is serious advice. You cannot think that taking out one loan to pay off another, is remotely smart. If you cannot afford the first loan, banks aren't about to make you a second loan to pay that one off. It becomes a domino effect. You're a high risk. |
