Will taking out Payday advances and paying them back right away build my credit score up quickly? I know I will pay some fees that way but I can't think of another way. My credit score is too low to get a car loan through my credit union and I am afraid to go to a used car dealership that give financing offers to people with bad credit in fear of getting hosed somehow. I have paid off all of my outstanding credit and have been in the waiting period as my credit score slowly creeps up, but I need a new car very soon.

To answer your question: Payday loans are not usually reported on your credit, so this probably won't work for you. If you need to get your credit up, I'd do it with a secured loan at your local credit union for $500-$1000, if you have that handy. But that will take a few months.
You CAN get a decent car loan, even with bad credit. I've done it, but you'll have to look around. That's one of the BIG mistakes people make...just taking the first offer that's given to them when they go to the dealer. Be smarter than that.
WARNING: DON'T GO TO BUY A CAR WITHOUT HAVING THE LOAN FIRST. The auto dealers will eat you alive and give you a crappy rate. Shop around with lenders who specialize in bad credit car loans. It's a better option, you don't have to take what they're offering if you don't want it, and it's better than dealing with the car dealer's people.
There are usually some nationally based car loan companies who specialize in bad credit car loans who advertise on the page linked below...

Wow! I've never seen so many HORRIBLE, INCORRECT, IGNORANT, MISINFORMED answers from one question.
First of all, Payday advances don't report to credit reporting agencies unless the account is negative. So, they are worthless as far as building your credit.
The only way to improve your scores is by making payments on time and doing credit repair.
Credit repair usually takes 3-6 months. |

No, that's no going to help at all. In fact, that's one of the worst ideas I've heard of in a long time. You know it take 7 years to rebuild credit, right?
In your case, save your money for the biggest down payment you can manage for your car and get a loan through somewhere that will give you one. And unless you're getting a Kia, don't even think about a new car. Read over your paperwork CAREFULLY. People get hosed because they don't read. |

If there's anything unfair on your credit report, you should dispute it. Here's a link to experian's online dispute procedure, to get you started. If you credit report is accurate, there's really no quick fix.

pay off all your debt,... then you need to get a credit card, and max it out, then pay it back monthly higher than the minimum amount, you will have to do this for 3-4 months before any score raises,... to raise your credit score they dont look at the fact that you can pay them back right away, they look to see that you are able to pay the loan/credit card/etc on a monthly basis without messing up, ...you build your credit up this way- sorry there is no quick fix- |
