brooklyn_1948 | Need to pay off a very high interest loan. My credit sucks. Help.? |
Cash Call loan @42%. I was desperate, but now I'm looking to lower interest rate, but no one will give me a chance due to my lousy credit. I'm sure there are sources out there that look at the person and not only the credit score. Bad things happen to good people. |

Go to Prosper.Com My mom had a $20,000 car loan with crazy interest and someone told me about this site.
Basically it works like this:
-You list to people (yes, regular Joe Smoe people, investors, etc) the amount you need to borrow at the APR rate YOU want. You explain WHY you need the loan
-People like me offer to loan you the money (whether it be $20 towards your loan or $2,000) A.K.A 'Bid' to have You take my money
-The more people that 'bid' on your loan, the LOWER the APR goes, for example: Say Person#1 says "I will give you $5,000 at 20% APR" Then person#2 comes along and says "Well i will give you $5,000 at 15% APR". Person Number 2 is still profiting at 15%, but now out-bid Person#1 and Your interest rate just dropped 5%
(THINK ebay, but instead of prices going UP per bid, they go DOWN)
Basically people fight over who is going to give you a loan
At 42% interest you have, its def. worth it. Its a legit website & very safe, i have used it, and i actually lend people money cause its also a great way to make small investments.
Anyways, check it out, im sure you'll join, and good luck ! |

You cut down your expenses and try to clear your loan and improve your position and you have to come out of this with some patience.
All the best |

yes, but good people, meaning good responsible people usually have a savings account and other sources of getting money for less than 42% when something bad happens to them, it is the irresponsible people who haven't payed their past bills who end up with unfourtunate luck and no way to bail themselves out.
Enough lecturing, anyway try to pay as much as possible on your 42% loan, think of it like this: every extra dollar you pay each month (beyond your minimum payment) is earning you 42% interest (because its an extra dollar not getting charged 42% interest), keep trying all the places you can think of for a loan, even a cash advance on a credit card would save you over half on interest.
Also try a pay-day loan, they are usually not good but in your case it would be better than your current loan.
Good Luck. |

You are a prime candidate for seeking help. Novadebt and Credit Consolidation are two reputable, nonprofit organizations that help people with not just paying off loans and lowering rates, but helping people budget better for the future so they improve their scores and such. |

sorry but the world goes round that credit score. You're going to have to buckle down and work your butt off to get it down. And the last place to go are those quicky loan places, they are the only ones that give loans out like candy, that why they charge interest rates higher than the national debt. Get a second job, a part time one, anything to help. |

They sound like payday lender crooks. Are they legal in your area. Another name for these people is loan shark.
Do you have family or friends that can help you out? Do you have a car that you could sell or trade in for a cheaper or less expensive one? Do you have any other assets that you could sell. I'd make paying off this crappy loan my #1 priority.
And if it turns out that these crooks aren't legal, I'd also report them. |

I've had a similar problem and it was quite hard to refinance because of my poor credit score, but one friend recommended a company that refinance people with bad credit and they approved me, here is the website:

Along with Prosper, Facebook has now started the Lending Club, similiar to Prosper. Just beware of the scammers out there. Before you give any personal information, get a verifiable business name, address and phone number. And the big tipoff is the lender will want upfront money before you receive the loan money. It is illegal in the United States and Canada for lenders to do this. Check out the Federal Trade Commission's and Crimes of Persuasion's websites about loan scams. Good luck. |
