There are several banks that will give you a secured credit card,Consumers National Bank is one.You give them $200-$300 dollars,they give you a card,and that deposit is your limit.After a few months they raise your limit and this builds a positive credit history!! |

I don't know your age, but if you are employed, there are cards available that you deposit money, and then can use the card up to the amount of deposit. Check with your bank, ask them for advice and if they have a program for you. |

try crescent jewelers or another jewelry store. in my experience they are willing to give just about anyone credit. buy something and make the payment on time every time and presto, you have credit history. |

Go to your local Macy's Department store, if you have no credit, you have good chances of getting a card, your credit line might only be $100, but its a great starter, it will help you alot in the future. also, don't go applying for credit left and right, this will hurt your chances of getting a card, banks dont like seeing that you apply at alot of places. also, try Chase bank,

Have you thought about putting something on layaway at a dept. store you like that also has a credit card? Get the idea...build a relationship that the dept. store can see! You can also read and learn more from mycreditadvise.com it is were my wife and I learned how to manage our money.

Weird, since college students with no credit history are inundated with applications. anyway, I would not mess with them. If you want something bad enough save up for it and pay cash. If takes dicipline, but you are better off in the long run. |

Good day,
There are many to obtain credit.
However the reality is that it is not quick.
I will name a few ways.
1. get a secure credit card.
Most credit unions will do this for you.. expecially if you are a student.
2. put money into a CD (to learn more about cd's, google them) from your bank and borrow against it... keep the money that you borrowed against and pay it back every month. Only thing this will cost is the interest.
3. google "how to obtain credit" you will have to filter through the companies trying to sell you something.. however there are many good sites out there that have lots of data.
4. This is a really simple way. Find someone with good credit and that has a credit card that they pay on time every time. ask them if they would put you on their credit card as another user. However do not ask for a copy of the card or the pin number. You just want to be on the account so they claim you as a good creditee as well as them. The next time the credit card company reports to the credit bureaus - they will report about you and that you have had a credit history matching the original person.. for that credit card account.
