Under federal law, you're entitled to a free credit report, every year, however that doesn't include the score. You'll have to pay for that |

No. You will need to go to myfico.com and purchase your score from them. Remember that you have 3 different FICO scores to purchase, and they can be quite different depending on what debts are reported to which bureaus. |

I can guarantee that all of those sites that offer "free" credit scores will come with strings attached. Generally you have to sign up for credit monitoring.
If you can wait a few months, try this:
TransUnion lost a class action lawsuit. If you had a credit card, bank loan, or any other type of account that could be reported by the credit bureaus, you qualify to be a participant. You can get 9 months of free credit monitoring, reports, and scores. Just visit https://www.listclassaction.com for information and to register as a participant. |

One way to get it free is to sign up with a credit report agency. You'll need to cancel after a week or they'll charge you a yearly fee. Another way to see the number is apply for a loan at your bank. They will usually tell you the score. Also any time you are refused credit you are entitled to your credit report and I believe score. The site annualcreditreport allows you to see the information but the 3 companies charge a small one time fee to see the actual number. |

Some times Equifax or Transunion will run an ad that will say something to the effect of 'order your report today and receive a credit score free'. Usually you have to pay for the score. |

you can also sign up for the free trial period - but please cancel before the time is up and make sure you get a confirmation - i did this and they still billed me for two months - and i had deleted the conf number so it was my fault |
