I've not read others' answers so maybe someone has said this already:
Go to your branch, explain to them that you want a refund (especially with your previous good record). They will be obliged to do so because of the ongoing 'bank charge' thing going on in the courts.
I went a couple of pounds overdrawn and they tried to charge me roughlY 60 quid (two seperate chatrges for the same overdraft). I just went to me bank and said this wasn't on, they wrote it off. All their backlog ofovercharges have been suspended until the result of the hearing. They fear the worst so don't want your charges hanging over them in the likely event that their charges are deemed unlawful and unfair. Bankers are just that - only you need t swap one of the letters with a 'w'! |

You will be charged about £25, most banks won't take any fee's until your next statement is due. So could be the end of the month or in a few weeks. you will receive a letter from your bank stating the fee amount and when it will be taken! |

Go into the bank and pay it off as soon as possible and you might not get charged.
Some banks have a 1 or 2 day grace period.
Otherwise you could find yourseld getting charge £10 upwards, which will be taken out automatically when more money goes in. |

Deposit money to cover immediately.
Next time, subtract it from your register as soon as you place the order. |

Depends on what kind of account you have.
I'm with Abbey too and whenever a small payment makes me overdrawn they charge me £60 - £35 for making the payment and an additional £25 just because they want to - they really are the worst bank to be with for charges. They take the money off you within the following month but give you a few weeks notice. Currently they're charging me £60 because the last time they charged me £60 for going overdrawn and that made me overdrawn again - so I'm being charged £120 for one error!!! Be careful and change banks as soon as you can (I would have already but have a £400 overdraft with them and O/Ds are really difficult to transfer) |

overdrawn fees are £28 pound and it will come out of your account at the end of november when you get your next statement ,so just make sure you have the money in if you only have a currant account with no overdraft on it go and tell the bank and they might withdraw the fees and tell them you will really struggle to pay them back is there anything they can do to help you hope you get it sorted |

It depends on what age you are, if your under 18 then they cant charge you. I went overdrawn with abbey last month by a small ammount aswell i got it back in black a few days later and they never charged me. Abbey usually charge £25 or £30 when you go overdrawn, bounce a cheque or anything else that causes a letter to be sent out. But they only charge if it rolls over into the next month. Go and put the money in before £4.80 turns into £29.80. |

You just have a negative balance and need to pay it back asap as you will be getting charged interest and will probibly get hit with a unorthorised charge if you haven't arranged this already.
Say you got paid £100 and this went in to your account then the new balance would then be £95.20 less any charges and interest.
Best thing is to pay it all off asap and remember to not do it again, you could call in and ask them what there policy is on this but remember to take your passport r some sort of photo id as then can be a pain in the... |
