Wild @ ♥ | Pay off debt all at once or little by little? |
If I pay off my debt with a loan and pay under $100 a month, is that better than not taking out a loan and paying about the same per month and not being done paying it all off till about a year from now? Which is better for my credit? |

consolidate your debt into one lump sum and then make the one payment. You'll usually save on interest that way. And it doesn't look as scary. |

Consolidating debt is an ideal way to reduce your amount and tenure of debt. You make a single payment to one lender on a certain date and this will help you clear off the debts faster. But the fact remains that debt consolidation is not easy all the times. If you owe a lot of money, obtaining a consolidation loan at the lower rate of interest can be difficult. Choosing a high interest loan can increase your debt.
The primary aim to consolidate debt should be to reduce your total costs. |

A loan is more debt.
Only take a "loan" to pay debt if the loan will end up costing you less than the original debt. Ie, lower interest rate with the same number of monthly payments.
A lot of "debt consolidation" schemes are basically scams, offering lower monthly payments, but for a much longer period of time, so you don't end up saving anything anyway.
Try paying your debt out of your income. Spend less money, save, and pay that debt off fast. Living without debt is a nice feeling, I recommend it. |

You can get the loan but you are transfering your debt so it would not help your debt to income ratio it would just show you paid them off. The only thing the loan would help is that you should have a better payment history and your credit score show go up a little. |

it would be smarter to pay it off all at once. not only will you save a great deal of money in interest.....but if something were to happen (loss of job or injury) you would be in debt to only one creditor instead of 4 or 5 (which would really hurt your credit).
credit scores improve with time and having no late payments...not necessarily less debt. someone who has 100k debt can have a much better score than someone with only 10k debt. |

i would keep paying a hundred and extra if you have it.. but it depends how much debt you have? |

its all about the same really if you will only be takeing out a loan to pay off a loan. IT shows up as loans paied if you do get a consolidation loan and it helps a little but it also will show a open loan and depending on the amout it could hurt. I would sugest takeing out the loan and paying the one payment but you have to not create any other debts |

It wont matter as far as your credit score. Credit score has little to do with how much debt you have, and alot more to do with how well you pay your bills over time. However, If you have the ability to pay it off now you might as well since you will be paying less interest over time. |
