I have never been to those pay day loan offices..I hear their interest can be pretty high. Some people work with an understanding boss or manager, so small loans through work might be possible. However a lot of people are too embarressed to ask anyone they know for help, so online companies can help. http://www.goodinternetdeals.com/Payday-Loan.html

Take the friggin bus or ride a bike. Try car poolinjg until your next paycheck. The payday loan people are laughing at you. You are nothing but a sucka to them.

The interest rates and fees ought to be criminal. With a little more imagination, you can find another way. Sometimes your employer might agree to an advance on your paycheck, but that's entirely up to them.

If you get a loan consider this first!!!

If you got a loan, the next time you get your pay check, you pay off your loan right!!!

But will you have enough money to get by until you get your next check without having to take out another loan, because of bills, etc.!!!

If you can't you don't want to get yourself in a loop!!!

Almost half of the people can not pay it when it due.
A law was passed on my state that them maximum interest that payday loans can charge is 430% apr.
That does not include fees.
Ask a boyfriend or a friend if you can borrow the $100 for 2 weeks, they will be glad to receive $140 then. Give it to them in writing. Give them collateral and tell them they can keep it until you pay back (also in writing). If you don't pay back, they keep the item.

Ask your Neighborhood organization for an alternative to Payday Loans.

Yes they will work if you use them correctly and pay them back on time. I was almost in the same exact situation last month. But you seem like you will be paying too much! I went to Spotya.com and I only paid $15 for the $100 I borrowed. I suggest that site: http://www.spotya.com

I highly suggest you don't do it. People find themselves in a mess with these things all the time. And thinking it's a small amount and harmless and 'what could go wrong' is how so many people get tangled up in the first place.

Some mom and pop garages will let you pay a bill over a few weeks at no additional cost, because they can put mechanics liens on vehicles for people that don't pay. This is not unusual for private shops for small jobs. Heck, offer the garage another 5 or 10% or some collateral if they'll help you out and do it. It's best to do this request in person.
Don't expect a big chain to do this.

Put a flyer out wherever you live asking for a neighbor mechanic to do the job on the side for you. I worked on a neighbors car just by walking up and seeing his hood up. I did the job for $170, garage wanted $700!

The problem with payday loans is that they capitalize on people's hope that things will be better two weeks from now, when the loan is due. I'm not trying to be offensive, but if you don't have the money now, what makes you sure you'll have it when the loan is due to be paid back? Most people who end up at these places also end up trapped in a vicious cycle, because by the time you pay the RIDICULOUS interest on the note, you don't have the money left to pay the principal down (AND THEY KNOW THIS WHEN THEY LEND TO YOU). I know this because I used to be one of those people a few years back, and when I finally escaped the cycle by borrowing money from family, I never went back. I will starve (or use a food pantry), dig ditches, scrub toilets or whatever I have to do to NEVER end up under a payday loan establishment's thumb ever again. I almost lost my car once to their title loans as well--please consider another option. I hope things get better for you.

Be aware that this is financial trap! They have lots of return customers for a reason. Only do this is if there is absolutely no other option period and then start saving money out of your check every week for an emergency fund. If you don't have a back-up plan for emergencies you will quickly owe your soul to this place!

Is there any way at all to arrange transportation to work (public transpo, get a ride from someone in exchange for some gas money, walk, ride bike) until you have the money to fix your car? Honestly, anything is better than these companies! I'd walk 45 minutes to work before i did this.

Hello, Even though you need this money immediately Payday Loans are a quick answer to solve your current problem. However once you have started with this they can become addictive. Where as right now its a $100 next it'll be $250, etc. Then you get yourself in a bind to where you can't pay it and then you living paycheck to paycheck. If you have to use the payday service, use them this once and then put yourself on a budget. You should save a little each pay period to prepare for times like this so you don't have to go to the payday loan companies.
