About your credit, if you've had this card a decent amount of time and have shown the unblemished history you report, you should calll their customer service and throw yourself at the mercy of the person who answers. Tell them honestly what happened, and ask them to look at your payment history and see that it is completely out of character for you. Ask that they accept another payment, and tell them you are cancelling the original check. If you can pay them immediately by debit or other means, do so. They really might take the blot off your credit rating if you do it once and never again. It worked for me. Don't forget to cancel that check at the bank. I feel for you, I have been there, but my credit card company was surprisingly nice about it. Good luck! |

stop payment on the check, it will cost you about 20 bucks depending on your bank.
then see if your credit card company will take a payment over the phone to get it processed quicker. |

As you can see, the most obvious thing to do is stop payment on your check #1.
#2, call your credit card company if they haven't already called you and explain that your payment was sent, and this totally caught you by surprise.
If this is the first time it has happened, more than likely they will accept a check over the phone from you (make sure you check your bank balance first and make sure no one has cashed it causing you a negative balance in your account), and it's a done deal.
Unless you go 30 days late, I don't think it'll be reported, anyway. |

Call the bank. You will have to stop payment on the check and send a new one to the credit card company. Have you tried paying bills online? A lot of banks and credit unions don't charge for the service and it works pretty well. |

First of all check your account if 1000 is still there. If its there which it should be call your bank and cancel the cheque by giving them the cheque number. If the money is not there check whom its gone to if its your credit card company call them and give them good lecture your money cant go the third way as the cheque was in the credit card company name. last if credit card have not received the money still call them tell them the whole situation but I dont think its gona work just consider it a little badluck. |

put a stop payment on your check at your bank. go on line and do a payment for the next day. pay on line in the future it is safe and secure most credit card companies charge no fees to pay that way and you will never be late. once you have paid contact customer service if you have always paid on time and have usually paid your balance in full they most likely will credit the late fee and over limit fees back to your account |

One late payment will not hurt your credit. It is very good that you pay your bill in full monthly. Stop the check at the bank asap, and call the 1-800 no on the back of your credit card and pay your bill over the phone w/ your checking account info. |

Make sure the check wasn't cashed, call your bank. also, call the credit card company and explain what happened. If you have a good history they may remove the late fee. I've done it, so it's possible. |

First thing is to cancel the check. Call the company and talk to them. They are usually really good if you tell them the situation. |

Stop payment on the check and make payment over the phone. Better yet, enroll into their website and make payment on line. Payment over the phone may cost you $15.
If you've never been late before, call the credit card company and ask to waive the late fee. They will not be able to change your payment history but they may refund the late fee for the first defender.
Never rely on the post office. |

STOP PAYMENT ON YOUR CHECK! That's what you need to do before you do anything, then second, if you have duplicate checks...make a copy of your check and fax it to the company showing that the payment was posted...if that doesnt work get a statement from your bank showing the check being posted so at least they know you sent the payment before the due date...then call and speak to someone and work some type of arrangement out! Hope this helps! |

Call your credit card company, cancel the check with your bank and pay online. You should set up an online payment account with all your credit cards. It's faster and always on time. |

as long as the 1K hasnt cleared from your bank, dont worry about it, do the following:
call your bank or go in person and cancel the check.
call the credit card company and make the payment over the phone this time |

You can do a stop check or void check with your bank and then write another check. Seeing as the CC company had nothing to do with the fact it was late, the late fee will still be in effect and your good credit history is down the drain. You'll probably have to send it two weeks in advance now and keep track of whether or not it made it, if it doesn't show up paid in a week, I'd say cancel that check and send another before it's too late. |
