Frank Castle, can you possibly be serious? First of all, minimum wage is higher than $4.15 an hour in all fifty states for dishwashers and all other non-tipped classifications. I really hate the fact that you give erroneous information as fact and act like it's the truth.

Now, on to Fawntastic's question...

First of all, although it's expected of you to help around the house, it wouldn't be a bad idea for your parents or guardians to give you some kind of allowance. Tell them you want to learn about money management...it's never too early to start that. Most parents agree that it's a good idea to give some kind of allowance. My seven year old already gets an allowance.

As you get older, try getting babysitting gigs. Then when you turn 16, you can get a job.

Do you have space to grow fresh veggies, tomatoes, cukes, etc., and sell them from a table in front of your house? If you don't put any fertilizer on them, you can say they are "100% organic" and they will bring in top prices from city people who think they know something about nutrition.

if you think long and hard enough you will find a way. keep cleaning around the house but dont expect anything and do it with a good heartie, smiling. remember you catch more flies with honey not vinegar. if you want to make money write, jk rowling wrote a book and became a multi overnight do you have a good imagination? work/ study hard be determined gracious and charming, humor is another good one. good luck, ps money isnt the be all.

Your parents are right. You should be doing your part in taking care of the house. You could ask them what you could do around there that they deem is extra.
Babysitting is a good idea.
Maybe mowing yards in your neighborhood.
