They will probably pay it (unless you bounce checks all over town) but you will be charged the NSF fee-probably between $25-$35 dollars.

If they DON'T pay it, the bank will charge you an NSF fee and the business where you used the card will charge you an NSF fee.

Uhhh..in looking at some other responses.... don't raise hell with THEM-it's your fault.

If you call them and ask them to waive the charge, they MIGHT. They certainly don't have to.

When you overdraft on your account, you automatically get charge between 30-35 dollars for the transaction...but since its only 6 cents, call customer service, and they will credit the overdraft fee back to your account, but you have to wait until the overdraft has posted on your account.

PS...you don't have to scream and yell at them for them to credit it back...they will do it anyway. People should know that it AUTOMATICALLY charges your account when you go over your balance.

If you've had the account for awhile and this is the first time, they might not charge you but if they do, just call and ask nicely, they will probably refund the money

I worked for the bank. If you overdraft your account for 3 dollars or less just call customer service and ask them to waive the fee once it posts. If you get a rep that does not know what they are talking about get a supervisor and ask them to waive it because it was such a small amount.

Kaska
Yes they are going to charge you $30.00

As a former employee let me tell you this........
If your ending balance for that day is less than one dollar then you will not be charged a fee. But it has to be your total ending balance under a dollar in order to not be charged. So if you only have that one item for 6 cents then you shouldnt be charged.

That bank SUCKS!!! I use them.. i overdrafted by 3 cents and they charged me 35.00!!!!! I called and screamed so bad that they took back the charges.. I told them it was their fault, they should not have let me over draft.. just call them and complain like mad and they will take it back...

If your overdraft is with Bank of America, why not check with your branch to see if it will have a negative impact. Why do you ask us? If it were my bank I would charge you a penalty fee just to teach you a lesson. It is not the amount, it is the principle of the thing.
