Your credit is shot, you owe $6500 in unsecured debt and your answer is to get a new credit card to pay them? You need to consider a chapter 13 Bankruptcy to get out of this mess. You can repay the loans over a period of 3-5 years and rebuild your credit. Once a judgment is obtained, you won't get a loan from anyone until that is paid in full.
PS A judgment on your credit is as bad as a BK and Ch. 13 is better than a Ch. 7. At least you repay your debts over time. |

That's the worst thing you could do. Try getting a small loan from a reputable banking institution. |

My bff got a credit card to pay off bills and it worked. That way you just have one bill which is that credit card. So maybe you should try it. |

Filing BK on a debt of only $6500 is not a good idea. Besides the fact that you need to come up with several hundred dollars just to file and go through the required credit counseling.....
Getting another credit card is what I call "credit card roulette". Sometimes it's a good idea to do it...roll the balances over to it and have one payment. But what many people end up doing is getting even more credit and eventually they can never get caught up.
IF you can find someone who will give you a card with a $5000 limit...and IF you can get a grip on your budget until it's paid off, then this may be your way to go.
You say you already have a loan? Any possiblities of getting either a second loan or getting this one refinanced to include all of your debts?
Don't know the rest of your financial situation so I can't really give much other advice. |

getting a credit card to pay off prior debt is only keeping you in debt.
I can't tell you not to do it I just suggest not doing it
For a bank/credit union loan you can go talk to your loan specialist and explain your situation they will lighten your pay and extend the time until it's paid off which is bad is some cases but at least you won't effect your pocket. As for your credit card... opening up a new one to pay off others is only allowing you to spend more money after it's paid off. Make the monthly payment and put it in your drawer. don't use it if you can't pay it. as for the hospital bill this must be your priority since you have gone to court from it. I suggest working out some type of payment plan. if you call these places and explain you have a better chance.
You could also try the place like rock financial... if that is around you where they combine all your payments into one.
it helps my cousin uses it.
good luck |

Absolutely NOT . Do NOT get a credit card to pay off these bills. The interest rate on the credit cards will just make your life much worse. Take these steps: #1 call each creditor and explain your situation and attempt to work out a payment schedule, #2 get a second job & #3 reduce your life style to the bare minimum until you are Debt Free. |

better declare yourself insolvent. that will save you from lot of problems. No company will give you a limit of $5000+ |

What ever you do don't file bankruptcy for $6500. My business partner did this when he was 21 and he is still paying (28 now). He bought a house 2 years ago and was stuck paying over 8% variable when everybody else was getting 5.5%. Go for the credit card balance transfer if you can get it. But you need to take it more seriously this time around. Pay it back as quickly as possible. You need to raise your income or lower your spending. Obviously you are living beyond your means. |
