Yes, call the police. Also do not send them the money. The check they sent you will bounce. So take all the money back to the bank you cashed it at and explain the situation.

.
Whatever you do, don't put that check in your account. You will have given them access to your account information and they will begin draining your account. Report this scam to the proper authorities.

It sounds shady and you could but there has been no crime committed as of yet, especially if aggreed to the terms. I would not send them anything!!! And any personal info you sent that has account numbers... change them TODAY.

Yes!! Stop payment on the western union. There has to be a way it can be done. Contact the western union company that you went through and tell them it was a scam and that the police are now involved. You want your money back. The police may send you to the FBI. In the future, anyone who asks you for money for money, it is a scam. All the stuff on the news about such things lately, I am surprised you did not know that. That whole check cashing thing is a total scam. Do NOT cash it and contact your bank and have them close that account and assign you a new one. Tell them why and not to cash anything on the old account other than what you tell them to. If any credit card info was given, do the same, close it and open a new one.

NEVER give out your personal information to anyone over the web the phone or anywhere for that matter. ONly to those you know for a fact are fine. In fact, incase you did not know it, you do not have to give your social security number to anyone ever except the IRS and Social Security Administration. Doctors offices do NOT have the right to turn you down if you refuse to give it, they can assign you an account number instead. Good luck!

If you already gave them your bank information, you should close your accounts as soon as possible. The cops can't really do anything about it, most of it is from other countries.

Don't cash the check, it's a phoney. You're the one who's going to have to pay back all that money, and you gave them 10% of a bogus check. Yes, it's a major scam and you should contact the police immediately, but you're still going to have to pay back the money if you've cashed a phoney check.

pooterilgatto
Yes do report them.

Call the police immediately. Or you gonna have big problems as a accomplice.

Get Er' Done
You are, an idiot.

Why would you send your info through a random site online?

It's called a scam, and they're all over the internet.
