Yes, it's called a bill.

You shouldn't use your credit report as a catalyst to decide which bills to pay.

Welcome to the world.

Yes , pay the bill ................

People has bills / credit cards , etccc ...the best for everyone
to do is pay them off ASAP .........

Make a promise , by a certain time you will become Debt Free..............especially in these times ..........

OH believe me , I know it's easy said , then done .......

After that set a Emergercy Fund .......8 - 12 months / rainy day . Of course this will take a while too .

Of course, you should pay your debts, even if they are not reporting to the credit bureaus. You owe the money and will have to pay it back, regardless of its impact on your credit score.

By paying off the debt, I assume you mean that you have the funds to pay it in full. You don’t say whether or not the entire amount is presently due or whether you can still make payments on it. It makes a difference.

You certainly want to stay in integrity with all your creditors. After all, they trusted you in the first place and, by paying them as agreed, you have them as a resource in the future should you need them, whether or not they report to the credit bureaus..

If you are saying that you have the option of paying the non-reporting debt in full or continuing to make payments, then you should consider what is best for you.

Certainly do not pay the non-reporting debt in full, if it is not yet due in full and paying it would impair your ability to remain current on your reporting debts.

If you have the option open of paying it off in full (although not yet due in full) and remaining current on your reporting obligations, you should consider where the extra funds would be best applied.

For example, if the non-reporting debt is at a higher interest rate than your reporting debt, definitely reduce it as much and as quickly as possible. Conversely, if your reporting debt is at a higher rate, it would make more sense to apply extra funds to that, rather than the non-reporting debt.

Since your personal circumstances are so unclear, any further comment would simply be speculative. However, this should give you some plan as to how to proceed.

yes, because sooner or later it will end up on your credit report.

YES - pay it - it will always be there to eat at your conscience.

Is it your debt?

There's THREE credit reporting bureau's - are you sure it isn't showing up on any one of the three? And yes, you should. If it's something that isnt reporting on your bureau now - you can bet it will if it goes into bad debt.

Yes! Even if it's not displayed on your report at this time it will be if it goes to collections.

It is really a question of ethics vs legality. Ethically I do believe you should pay the bills you have. You are the one that had the bills and let them go unpaid, so you should take care of them. Legally, though, you might not be required to pay them. If the bill is not showing on your credit report AND the statute of limitations has passed, then you aren't legally responsible for the bill. Lenders and collection agencies need to take legal matters within the statute of limitations in order to legally get paid for those who owe them money. And since the item isn't on your credit report (at least not now, anyway) then it isn't affecting your FICO credit score.
