It means you have overpaid by 47.46. |

looks like you have an available credit line of 302.00 if your balance is -47.46 then you have a credit.
with the information provided it seems as though you have an available line of credit of 302 (means you can charge that much more) |

If your credit balance is negative 47.46, that means that you paid too much on your bill and the credit card company actually owes you 47.46. I'm not sure where the 302 available is coming from. your available credit should be your limit plus what they now owe you for overpaying: 297.46 |

It SOUNDS like you have a credit balance and that you do not owe a payment because of the minus sign, but make sure you don't owe something by calling them. If you originally had a credit line of 250 and y ou have 302 available now that would be 52. So I am not sure. |

It looks like you made a payment greater than your balance. Anytime you have a negative balance, you do not owe money. |

It sounds like you have a credit of 47.46 on your card. The 302 available means how much credit you have left on the card. For example if your credit limit is $500 and you spend $50 your available credit will be $450. So no I don't think you owe 302. :) |

if your balance is -47.46 it means you paid too much on your last bill. You don't owe anything. $302 is how much money you have available on your credit card. You can purchase up to $302 worth of merchandise. |

I sounds like you overpaid. Your available credit is how much you can still charge on your card without maxing it out.
I think the best thing to do is to go to your bank and have a personal financial counselor explain to you how things work... not enough people understand how credit works and it has caused our economy to collapse. |

Usually, a negative balance means you have overpaid and have a credit on the card (they owe you money). If you paid the account off and then returned something, that could happen. The $302 available means you still can charge about $300 - you only have to worry about this when you get close to zero, because banks usually charge a fee for going over your credit limit. |
