I went away this weekend and the last time i used my cash card was on Friday the 24th. I returned home and not only was all my wages stolen (over £1000!!!) but they used my cash card to with drawl the money over 3 days. I have called the bank and cancelled the card but what chance have i got of seeing the money again???? |

Ask to speak to the fraud department at your bank. They will ask a pile of questions but its worth it in the end. I had mine skimmed last year for £250 quid but got it back through the bank in 2-3 weeks. |

Report it to the police get a crime reference number speak to the bank about where the money has been withdrawn report the fraud and give them the crime ref number then speak to the bank about claiming the money back....! Oh and check your house insurance you may find this would well be covered under your policy! |

Well whoever used your card must have known your pin number. because there are only one in 10,000 chances of them getting it right, and they would have only had three attempts.
Have you asked the bank where your card was used over the weekend and in which stores. This may narrow down your list of suspects. |

Firstly how did they manage to withdraw money without a pin number? Even if they went to the bank and handed the card to withdraw money, the bank would ask for a second signature so this seems strange. I would talk to the bank about the options as if you can prove that you weren't at the places the withdrawals took place you may be able to get compensation. It's hard to say. Good luck. |

Report it to the police. Then talk to the bank they will have a card fraud dept. They will look to see if any of the atm,s have a camera or try to see if money was taken when you could not have My mum had £550 quid taken after someone cloned her card it was difficult but she did get the money back after some time though. Do check if you have card insurance. I also wonder how they know your pin. |

Your card has been cloned probably,report it to the police after you inform the bank,I got all my money back,the banks are insured. |

my card in usa has a guarantee that if there is fraud the bank will reimburse....does yours?? talk w/ your bank asap!!!! |

none i am afraid unless you were covered by insurance i am covered against this by barclays and pay £20 per year. it is well worth it. sorry to hear about your problem, but at least you will be more careful and get INSURED next time. |

I have had a similar experience just recently where someone obtained my card and pin, went to an atm and withdrew £300. I didn't notice that my wallet was missing until later that night and called the bar I was at. They said the wallet had been handed in. I went to claim the wallet the next day and everything was still there. 3 weeks later I noticed that £300 had been taken out from my account. I contacted the bank and they started an investigation. I talked to the police but they said that they couldn't file it as a crime as I had my wallet returned to me and that I had to deal with my bank. My bank is now refusing to reimburse me because they don't believe it was fraud. Help! What can I do? |
