Every time i apply for a loan my credit drops it was over 600 my problem is that i have 16 accounts but all are current but not for long if i cant get the help. x-wife decided 2 go through the state for child support and irs is garnishing me 10% of my gross salary. I really need to consolidate my bills and could really use 6k. I have verifiable income of 48k for last year and i'm expected to be at 52 to 60k this year. but everything hit me at same time including back child support which i owed $1170.00 and they took 475 out of my last check and their taking $511.00 out of this one. which is not going to leave me to take care of any bills but my rent and my interest on a payday loan. I've been working too hard trying to better my credit i will do whatever it takes to get out of this little hole that ive dug. I can get that 60 points back pretty quick i just dont want any bad marks or late payments on my credit anymore. I would really appreciate your feed back. thank -you I hope |

The thing you absolutely need to do is take action before your payments are late. Sometimes if you contact your creditors and explain your situation they will let you not make a payment for a month. Creditors just want their money and if you contact them first they will see that you do want to pay them. |

Do you have any collateral for a $5000 loan? If not, you are very unlikely to get it.
Each time you apply for credit, your FICO score takes a hit. Creditors see that as you being desperate and they are very unlikely to loan you money.
The 16 accounts that you have.....are they maxed out? That will lower your FICO score.
If you are getting hit with back child support and the IRS is also garnishing....and you only have money left to pay your rent and interest on a pay day loan.....you don't need another loan. I suggest that you contact Consumer Credit Counseling Service in your area and ask them for some help.
They can arrange for lower interest, less amount being paid out each month and help you to regain your credit. But it will take time. You are right....you are in a hole and you need some help getting out. |

You can go to one of the little independent credit companies in your town --- their interest rates are higher than banks. They will probably not go 6K, but they might help you consolidate your bills, and then when your FICO goes up you can transfer the loan to a lower interest bank loan. |

Step 1: You have 16 open credit accounts, you need to start living within your means and contact a credit counseling service before you drown in debt. Check the yellow pages
Step 2: Stop blaming the ex-wife going through the state for child support. If the IRS is garnishing 10% of your gross salary ($48,000) for child support that is only $4800 per year. If they took $1170 that means your child did without financial support from you for 4 months. Did you let yourself get 4 months behind on your other bills or only child support?
Step 3: Consider a part time job to get yourself out of this hole. |
