They do not. No one but you will know they are secured. Also, after a specified amount of time when you have made payments on time and not gone over your limit, the credit card company will refund your secure amount. Do it. It is a really good way to build a good credit rating. |

On your credit it will just show as a standard card. I'm sure the literature about the card will say 'secured'. |

Probably not, but the best one is from Orchard Bank, it won't say that it is secured on your credit report, and that is the most important thing. Most do specify that they are secured on your credit report, and that is bad, you want to make sure it doesn't specify that, otherwise it really won't help your credit. |

I would guess not. The merchant or other purveyor of goods or services who takes the card in payment is relying on the credit of the card-issuing bank to pay the amount on the charge slip, not on the customer.
As a result, the question whether the cardholder's payment obligation to the card-issuing bank is or is not secured is a matter of indifference to the vendor.
For the bank to put the word "secured" on the card under such circumstances, or perhaps under any circumstances, would doubtless require the bank to try to make money with a precious few cardholders. |

This is really a good question!
In 20+ years in finance I have only seen a very small number of secured credit cards actually say "secured" on any of the 3 major credit bureaus. Only by experience can an underwriter recognize a secured credit card from a standard one.
