If they request your checking account info in order to transfer the funds, then you know it's a scam. Delete it and forget about it.

Ha. Nobody randomly gives away money. If you didn't enter a sweepstakes, you didn't win. (And some "sweepstakes" are scams too... or marketing tools where everybody "wins"!! ... a free month's membership at the gym when you pay for a two year contract... yeah, great "winnings".)

I don't know. Just don't give them a bank account number or send them money. Have them send you a cashiers check. Anyone who's legit will be able to do that.
