1) 10$
2) 500$
To do percentages on a calculator you multiply by the equivalent decimal. For 10%, multiply by .10. For 50% multiply by .50. For 5% multiply by .05.
To solve your problems on a calculator it would look like this:
100*(.10) = 10
5000*(.10) = 500 |

The fist is answer $10, how to work with calculator, it's very simple, if the person giving you 10% he is having 90%, so the calculation goes like this 100-90%= 10, this applies to 5000 also.. |

100 X .1 = 10 so you'll be getting $10.00
5000 X .1 = $500.00
10% is 0.1 in decimal form. |

Here is what you do.
Lets say you want to find 8% of 100.
you multiply 0.08 times 100.
and if you want to find 10%, you multiply 0.10 times 100.

The $100 u will get $10 and the $5000 u will get $500 and here is how it works |
|

Jarmin
|
divide by 100 (gives you 1%) then multiply by 10
So if you wanted 15% you multiply by 15 etc....
10% of 100 = $10
10% of $5,000 = $500
There is other ways but that's an easy way to do it. |

you need not use a calculator :) there's a trick on it. if you have to get the 10% of $100.00 just remove the last zero :)
10% of $100.00 = $10
10%of $5000.00 = $500
but if you still want to use a calculator, .10 as 10%
so in calculator
100 x .10 = 10
i hope these helps :) |

10% is one tenth.
One tenth of $100 is $10.
One tenth of $5000 is $500.
Many calculators have a per cent key. If it's a typical calculator, enter to amount, then the x (times) key and then enter 10 and press the per cent key. |

Move the decimal point to the left...
10% of 100.00 is 10.00
10% of 5000.00 is 500.00 etc etc |

DARK

10 % is also eqquivalent to .1
make the % as a period then move it from right to left twice so that the percentage number can become a whole number..
10 and 500 |
