there is an agency working in the UK to trace ppl with debts like these that flee the UK,or even just move address.
If they have your bank details once it is passed to a debtors if you are using the same bank they may be able to trace your new address from that.
You naughty! but good on ya!
if they cannot catch you within 7years the debts will be wiped clear alkthough if they do charges will probably be added aswell as even CCJs.
It will effect your credit rating as when you go to your new address and apply for credit if you have lived there for less than 3years you have to provide a last address.
Also where ever you go do not register on the electoral role they can catch you from that too

If you did this purely to try and rip off the phone companies and to leave with the debt, I really hope that they do track you down.

It's people like this that keep the bills up for the rest of us who do live in the country. Who the hell do you think absorbs these debts if not the consumers?

Selfish b*stard!

Did you notify them of this departure, or just cancel your payments?YOU HAVE 5 CONTRACTS,well expect contact, what they do about you breaking the terms of the contracts is their pigeon.

charlie29
good on you , i wish i did the same with my tmobile contract. why 5 phones?

ξήĢŁĭŞĦ ŗǾşξ ©® ღஐღ
depends,

if they were contracts and you only cancelled the direct debit, you will still be liable for the contract until it expires or you will have to buy it out.

so you're leaving the debt for the british economoy ?

Good luck to you mate = I hope they fire the morons who sold you the Contracts :-)

I reckon you will get away with it,but not sure.

Ellie.
Is this why you came here? No wonder the rest of us pay so much. I hope they find you and make you pay. You are no better than a shop lifter and why should the rest of us have to pay for the likes of you.

I wish you good luck on this one, because you may well need it!

These companies are good at tracking down con artists.

Boiled Egg
They will send out hit squads to hunt you down. You will become public enemy number one on the interpol most wanted list. Or they might just do nothing and you've gained yourself 5 phones. You can never return to the UK though, or you'll be arrested as soon as you set foot on British soil.

I would expect that you would honour your agreement with these companies, as they were good enough to provide you with your phones.. It is because of people like you that the UK has such a bad debt list and why don't trust most people with good intentions....

Pay what you owe before you go,and then if you come back one day your credit rating wont be black listed...

Mrs G
Good for you - these phone companies make a fortune out of us anyway - they were stupid & greedy to give you the contracts... just make sure your phones are un-locked - so you can still use them ..who hasnt bumped a phone contract - ..usually I would say ...thieving immigrant - but hey! the UK Government encouraged it.... take your phones with you ..see it as a farewell gift from us - and hope you had a nice stay in the UK...for a laugh phone up the carphone wharehouse when you get home and say thanks for the phones...
**Are you selling any of them ? whats the makes ..?

YO CAN EXPECT THEM TO EVENTUALLY SHOW UP ON YOUR CREDIT REPORT AND GO TO COLLECTIONS - WHY DOES ONE PERSON NEED 5 CELL PHONE CONTRACTS?

All the debts are entered into a computer and when you give your passport at the airport you can be arrested. They can also catch you through your National Insurance Number or Health Number.
