Try these Capital One, First Premier, Orchard Bank and H.S.B.C.

Try Chase visa, they are usually pretty good with students and low credit score. You could probably also get 12 months no interest. Good luck.

I got a capital one card. Sort of secured but not. I paid 75 and got 300 limit. It has since been increased to 1300 with good payment. you can call them and ask before applying. they should be able to tell you.

Good on you - don't apply for a bunch of cards, you'll just get denied and in turn lower your score. Your current score is considered sub prime and usually the bare-bone score accepted is 620 and even 650 nowadays. Try Orchard Bank or Capital One's secured card.

You'll start out with a small limit $300-500 but a few months of good re-payment history and you'll likely get an auto increase.

There are many sites available now for this purpose, some of them require you to send in a deposit for $300. first. There are some that do not require this, check out the site below

If your unsure of what type of credit card to get it's best to check out a credit card comparison website these sites compare annual fees, interest, and other benefits like rewards. This way you can choose what's best for you. Capital One and Chase are good companies for fair/average credit.

Citibank or Capital One would be a good choice, check out www.fastcreditcardapprovals.com to compare them all by credit or bank.

I would try Capitol one. There interest rates are high but they are more lenient with the credit scores. Maybe before you apply you should call around and ask questions. Ask them what they are looking for? If you have nothing else on your credit history or everything in your credit history is in good standing then you should be find. But you are right about applying for varies cards, that definitely hurts your score.
