Usually, it will show up on their copy, but most states (if not all) by law, say that the customer copy can only have the last 4 digits.
This is for customer information security. Even though it's teh copy they are giving you, the store/resturaunt/service will take the responsibility of keeping your information safe, by making the first 8 (7, if you have an AmEx) digits encrypted.
Many places don't even do it on the store's copy, because it's keept on record in the computer system...but many still keep the paper file on hand, just in case.
Very rarely you'll find an old machine that still does it the old way...I haven't come across one in years...but you can always rip your number in half, and throw one half away at the resturaunt, and the other hanf when you get home...r throw one half away, and throw a !tiny! scrap with the other half in the toilet. That's good enough. Oh, and don't waste a flush on it...wait until you have something to flush. |

I've recieved two reciepts that showed the card number. Sometimes they will show your name, sometimes the last 3 or 4 numbers of your account number with all the numbers before xed out, sometimes nothing out. So basically, take a look at your reciept. Always ask for it if it's not given to you by the cashier. |

It really depends on the machine the pizza company uses, most won't print the whole number for security reasons, some of the older ones that are usually used by small businesses will still print the entire number. Very few will though |

Usually just the last four digits show, but you should always check, I have sometimes been to a place which uses an old/weird machine which does print the whole number. The only risk there is to make sure you shred those receipts. |

I have seen it both ways...it depends on how the card machine is calibrated. Some places (like the grocery store I worked for) had the full number printed on the reciept. I don't remember exactly why but basically it was a logistical thing...if it needed to be resubmitted because the batch failed then it could be done without bugging the customer to come back in. |
