I got this 50 dollar visa gift card for x mas and i tried to buy something online with it at americaneagle.com and i entered the number in and it said ERROR: the number you entered is not valid.
or something like that. is something wrong? isnt it suppossed to work online too?

They are definitely supposed to work online as well as in the store. Was this the first purchase you had tried to make with it? You may have to call the number on the back of the card and activate it before it is ready for use. Also, if your purchase was for more than the $50 amount on the card you may have to pay the difference by another methold then try using the card to pay the remainder. If you have tried all of this call the customer service number on the back of the card and let them know it is not working for you to make your purchase online and they will walk you through steps of correcting the problem. |

I recieved a visa gift card for Christmas too, the little paper that came with it sent me to this website that you could check your balance with, as well as register the card.
When you purchase something online with a credit card it checks the address to make sure it's the same as the one that's registered with the card.
So read the card again, check and see if there's a number to call or a website to register it online so you can make purchases online.
Otherwise you'll just have to go to the store and do it there. |

with the visa gift card the amount you are spending has to be less then the amount on the card. call the number on the back to see if they can tell you how to do this online |

it happened to me too...you have to enter in the exact amount that is on the card for the machine to recognize it. for example..even if you were only spending 13 dollars, you have to put in the full card amount for 50 dollars |
