Wedding loan?
Is it possible to take out a personal loan to help pay for your wedding? I'd rather not have to pay on my Credit Cards. I was considering a personal loan of $1000, over a two-year period.
Prosper.com is a good option. Here's a quick link that goes to the same site.

Why not just save the money so you don't have to start you new life in debt?
That would be the wise thing to do.
Good luck!

you could take out a personal loan but the intrest on that amount will have you paying way over the loan amount.

I think you'll have a hard time finding a bank to lend you such a small amount of money over such a long time. You're probably better off using a line of credit or bank overdraft.

It is always possible. However, if you were only looking for $1000 you should probably think of a different way. That is really a short term low value loan and to stretch it out over 2 years would be a very high interest rate because of that. So you would probably do just as good with a credit card. But do you really want to start off a new life together with more debt.
When is the wedding? If it is still a few months away start saving as much as you can now. Determine who can get paid later and who needs payment first. If you get all of this together and work out a budget you might find you would be able to pay everyone without taking a loan.

Yeah but it would just be an normal unsecured personal loan. The fact that its a wedding would not make any difference. A wedding is not an asset of any kind, so the bank couldnt use that to lower the interest rate in anyway.
You are probably just better off using your credit cards. The interest rate wont be any different, and you wont have to open a new account with an additional monthly payment.
