Have you tried to get a sears card? It was one of my first cards and I'm just using it to build up my credit. I bought car tires with it, something I need, and then I ripped up the card for good measure. I never had credit with anything and I was approved. Plus they only give you like 250 anyway, so its not that much.

steps: 1 job 2 debit card 3 credit card 4 A small loan consolidation with low interest is the best I found interesting information about your answer & options here. http://all-debt-consolidation-loan.blogspot.com/2007/07/loan-consolidation.html

Apply for a secured credit card offered to you by mail. Use it and pay the minimum to start your credit history. After 3 to 4 payments pay it in full then try other secured cards and repeat the process. This is to increase your credit rating. But remember not to over spend. It's so easy to get caught in the credit card wars. Soooooooooooo.....What's in you wallet?

Rent to own places. They're kinda expensive, but just buy the small items you need. Buy here pay here car lots.
Get a cosigner for regular loans.

Get a credit card of any kind (I know, easier said than done) and charge something on it each month and then pay off the bill in full and on time. Slowly, but surely, you will build (good) credit. Do you have a car payment or utilities in your name? Paying these things on time will help too. Good Luck!

The best way is to get a secured credit card (secured against your savings) and use that . The way this works is that you get a credit card that has a limit lower than the securing savings account, then you can charge that amount. If you default, then the creditor can take your savings, but if you don't default you build a credit record. After a year or two, you will have a good credit record if you always pay it off on time.

Apply for a Capital One card. They take practically anyone. They will help you build your credit if you pay a little more than the monthly minimum on your card. And your credit will raise after about 6 months or so of doing this, as long as you don't max out your card. They'll probably start you off at $300 and raise you to $500 after the 6 months. I hope this helped!

you need to go to a small business that sells furniture, like badcock, tell them you are interested in purchasing a couple of night stands or something small like that, them tell them them you want to make payments, 9 out 10 times you will be approved with like 50% down, start small,

Try getting a bank loan. A small amount. That will definitely build up your credit.

Start out co-signing something with parents, and a secured credit card. The secured credit card is the easiest way to get your credit history started (a secured card is when you give the company say 500 dollars and you get a card that has a Credit of 500 dollars, you get a statement in the mail, and start repaying that card back to 500. Then, once you have established a positive credit history, request that you be gived a line of unsecured credit. )

Carefully.

You can get a pre-paid credit card fairly easily. You pay in advance for the card, say $500. Then you charge against that balance without going over. Replenish. Repeat.
After six months or so, you should be able to use this as a reference to apply for a standard credit card. However, you will also need proof of a steady income, so don't plan on changing jobs during this period, and save your pay stubs.

Change your name?

Definitely pay it off every month. Credit card debt can get out of control! Try getting a Visa with a low limit. They are more likely to approve then a store, especially if it has a low limit.

If there is something you need like furniture, etc. you can use the stores finance plan and that will build credit.
