massimo made a good suggestion that if you always pay your balance in full, then you should get a rewards card (e.g. cash back) that will pay you the most for your spending pattern.
That's really the only good way to use credit cards.
To see which rewards card will pay you the most for your normal spending profile, you can use this rewards calculator:
http://www.creditcardtuneup.com/
A few good rewards card include the AmEx Blue Cash, the Fidelity Signature Rewards Visa, and the Capital No Hassle Miles Ultra for Professionals. You can use the calculator to help decide which of the many options is best for you. |

It depends on your spending & payment habits
If you pay in time & the full amount then you should look for the credit card with a cash back,
otherwise, you must read the fine prints.
Good luck. |

I think that each card is different. For me, Citi Cards has always been great. They have gave me a low APR and still continue to offer me the lowest APR, not to mention, provide me with free coverage if my credit card is lost or stolen.
Discover on the other hand, jacked up my rate to an extreme APR after one of my payments was lost in the mail. Since then I've switched to online payments, but they still won't lower my APR and it's been over a year! But that's just my experience! |

Chase has some pretty good credit cards (as long as your credit is good). Just make sure that whatever benefits the card has are actually beneficial to you. |

I like Discover, I transfered my balances from 2 credit cards, and they offer 0% for balance transfers for 12 months. |
