What's the best way to find a new credit card?
We currently have one credit card, but the interest rate is ridiculous. I want to transfer the balance to a card with a lower interest rate. What's the best way to find a new card with lower interest? There are too many options it seems. We don't need any specific kind of card....such as travel, sports, etc. We will not be using the card....just want to pay it off (and not feel like we're only paying the crappy interest!) Thanks.

buy the latest issue of money magazine. there is a section that shows the best credit cards for your situation.

stressed to the MAX
you can usually find deals through the mail and online, and they are pretty good deals.
Just be aware that your interest rate is probably so high for a reason, and that the interest on those introductory offers ALL gets piled onto your balance at the end of the offer period. Most cards default you to their lowest interest rate, but they don't have to and can start you at any within their range...

I guess what I"m trying to say is be careful. Try to pay the balance down in the six months, or whatever the offer period is, because if you don't, then you will be right back in this spot next year this time.
Oh and don't forget to close the first card with the high interest rate, or else you'll be in this spot with double the debt!

this is the right first step
not to use the credit card
as regard your question, there is no best card, all the same
and you will bay more, so just continue paying the one you had till you finish, then use the cash or the atm, not credit card.good decision.

I would check out the sites of major card issuers and banks to see if they are running any promotions on balance transfers.

If you have pretty decent credit, chances are, companies have already been mailing you offers that you should carefully check out before accepting anything. Also, if you happen belong to a credit union, you can probably get an attractive rate on a new card or a consolidation loan.

Best way is to go for a Debit card and live within the budget. Keep the c edit card only for an emergency..
