What's the difference between debit card and credit card?
I prefer the one which is more convenient to use, no hidden charges, but have more rebates! Haha

Debit usually comes right out of your checking account..OR, you can get prepaid Debit cards with a number right on it like a credit card so you can order online and such just like a credit card but it already has the money on it, OR..like I said comes right out of an account.

There is NO rates or anything...you just have to have the money in an account!

Credit Cards are on Credit only and have finance charges and hidden fees, annual fees sometimes and will put you in DEBT!

A debit card typically comes directly out of your checking account and is similar to writing a check. On the other hand, a credit card charges the amount toward your credit which you will have to later pay back. I don't know about all debit cards, but mine is a Visa card, so you get the convenience of nearly universal acceptance and no fees whatsoever.

A debit card takes payments directly from your bank account. Credit card, you just spend as you want, but you get billed monthly.

Debit Cards are basically storage for your money. You load it with cash, and use it to pay... You do not pay any bill for it because it is your money converted to electronic form. So you use your card instead of cash to pay. Most of the time, it is linked to your bank account, and sucks your deposit as you pay or withdraw from ATM.

Credit Cards can be used for paying stuffs, then you pay your bills to the bank that issued it. You must pay on or before your due date to avoid penalties. That's how the banks earn. Else, you'll be paying a hell lot of penalty.

Just look up in the dictionary what Debit and Credit means and you'll have a good sense of what they mean. (=

a debit card is using the money from your bank account. so you are using your OWN money, therefore you cant get a big bill and go into debt.

however on a credit card, you are using borrowed money. the good thing is that you can spend your money before you have it, but the bad thing is that if you dont EVER have then money, you can still go into debt.

by the way usually if your under 18 you cant get your own credit card, you can only have one your parents got but is in your name. but depends how old you are :)

Great Question!! A Debit card is issued by the bank and withdraws money from your specific account.

A Credit card is issued by a lender and is a loan you agree to repay.

The things you buy with a Debit Card incur no interest payment because they are just like cash.

You agree to pay interest on the things you buy with a Credit card, or a monthly fee to use it.

The responsible use of a Credit Card will help build your credit file. A Debit card does not do this, rather it again is like cash.

Hope this clears things up! If you want to know more I have written a book "When Bad Credit Happens To Good People" in it there are excellent tips, and resources to help you understand your credit better.

Then use a credit card and make sure you PAY IN FULL EVERY MONTH. In that way you will get no fees, no interest, and earn rewards.

debit card is the card a bank would give you to use when you open a bank account, you can only spend what you have. a credit card on the other hand..........is a card where a company such as AMEX, Mastercard, Visa gives you card with a limit depending on how much you qualify for that you can make purchases up to that limit and not exceeding however you have to pay them back @ exhorbant interest rates........not nice but convenient.

a debit card the money comes out of your bank account you use this card for taking money out your account or to pay for things on the net.there is no charge for this.but a credit card you use to buy things on the net or any where else but you have charges to pay.if you do not want to get in debt then stick with a debit card as you can only spend what you have in your bank account
