The easiest credit cards to get are gas cards. Get one and use it every time you fill up, then be sure to pay it off completely every month. I've been told that is the quickest and easiest way to build up a credit record. |

bank loans, get a small bank loan and pay it back on time, for example, when you turn 18 and you want to get good credit fast, go buy a car, when you get your loan, make your payments. also credit cards are a great way to earn credit, but you have to remember to pay the money back. and debit cards will not build your credit at all. a debit card is a point of sale transaction that comes from your bank account, so its just you spending money you already have. a credit card is like a loan, and if you pay it back, you gain credit. credit is just your track record of being dependable and reliant. |

don't do credit cards they are a big trap....you get used to be able to use them and then you're in debt.....buy a car....go to a used car lot(one that is buy here pay here) make your payments on time every time and your credit will get better with each payment...good luck!!! |

If you're going to college, there will be plenty of opportunities to sign up for a first credit card. Interest rates for your first credit card will be somewhat high, no matter which one you get, so shop around a little bit, but don't kill yourself over the decision. Just be sure that there is no annual fee. A good option would be to get a credit card through the bank at which you have your checking account because you may be able to get overdraft protection, which basically means that if your checking account gets overdrawn, the overdrawn amount will get automatically charged to your credit card rather than putting your checking account at a negative balance. This way you won't take a hit on whatever overdraft fees your bank charges. If you're looking to build your credit fast, unfortunately, there's no better way to do it than to make charges to your card and carry a balance from month to month (meaning pay your bill on time, but don't pay it in full). That's going to cost money, but if you're willing to shell it out, then that's your prerogative. |

yeah credit cards.... but make sure you pay the full balance off each month. and just get 1 or 2 cards. if you get like 10, your credit rating goes down which can increase thigns like your car insurance because you have so too big of a credit line |

The quickest way to build your credit is to purchase something on credit. You have to make the payments, tho. I know that sounds silly, but credit is just another word for "borrow". You don't have that money, you are borrowing it from the company.
I would recommend checking with your bank and seeing what type of credit card they can offer you. Set the credit amount for, say $200. Buy something with the card, pay it off IMMEDIATELY, then cancel the card. You have just established credit, AND since you cancel the card after paying it off, your credit is "good". |
