I wonder why people are so concerned with having a good credit score...I mean in a way it's silly. You want a good score so you can go further into debt!

complete one of your GOOD credit card offers that come in the mail....make sure there is no annual fee, and check APR's. Buy small ticket items, about once every 2 weeks, and payoff the entire balance of the card AFTER you get your statement. If you wait to pay until you've been billed, it reflects good payment history and your credit score will go up slightly, and keep going.

Take out a small loan from a store for a piece of furniture or a computer then pay it off in a month or two. As soon as you pay off even a small loan your credit score goes up.

They look for regularity. They want you to pay the same amount at the same time each month. In other words...overall it'd be better for you to pay 100.00 a month for ten months rather than just paying something off all at once. It shows dependability and predictability, both of which can be used to deduce what you may do in the future.
