dtigers15 | What are the easiest credit cards for someone with bad credit to get approved for? |

If you don't mind high start up fees, Tribute, Imagine or Salute would likely approve you. You could try getting an unsecured card from Orchard Bank, but if your credit is really bad (FICO in the 400s), you could still get a secured card from them. Main thing is, once you get one or two, keep your balances low and make your payments on time so that you can qualify for better cards with higher limits later on.
Stay away from First Premier Bank...my stepdaughter went through hell with them. |

If you are looking for a credit card for bad credit, there are many options to choose from. The two main types of cards available are either a secured credit card or an unsecured credit card for bad credit. Both types of cards can help you repair your credit by giving you an opportunity to establish a good payment history. The costs and fees associated with each type of card are very different, however. In addition, depending on how bad your credit is, whether you have sufficient income and other personal details, you may only qualify for one or the other.
First let's look at the secured credit card for bad credit. A secured credit card requires that you deposit money with the issuing bank, and the bank will issue a credit card in the same amount for your use. Secured cards are guaranteed to be approved, because the bank has your deposit money in case you do not pay your balance. A secured credit card for bad credit operates much like a regular credit card. You receive a monthly statement, and you pay your minimum monthly payment or the balance in full each month. You are charged an interest rate, annual fee and possibly other fees for a secured credit card account. Apply online at: http://www.credit-card-gallery.com/Guaranteed_Approval.html and get guaranteed approval. |

Although these offers tend to have higher interest rates (and additional fees) when compared to 'standard' credit card, they'll give you the opportunity to rebuild and improve your credit score over time. Eventually, with regular on-time payments-- you'll be able to qualify for better offers with lower APR's and less fees. But for now, these are your options...
Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK! |

I would agree with a few of the previous answers as far as a secured credit card, Millieneum Credit cards offer a secured credit card for for $99 for a visa and $149 for a MC and Visa. The good thing about this is that they do not run a credit check prior to approving and they report to all three bureaus each month.
Orchard Bank does not charge but they do run a credit check which will lower your score
I would not go with a capital one credit card because they report your overall limit and not the balance you owe which hurts your credit (It makes it look like your overextended)
Orchard bank offers one as well
First PRemier is bad ----- Their is literally a $5.00 fee for taking it out of your wallet or purse
Also depends on how bad is bad - Honestly if its a choice of an unsecured cc and paying $200 dollars in start fees and having a $300 dollar limit (with monthly payments and a high APR) Then pass and go with a secured |

A secure credit card. You secure a set amount of capital in their bank account under your name. You receive interest just like any savings account. If you default under the agreement, they can legally take out the money to cover any outstanding balances. Some banks will even let you have a credit line up to twice that of your balance. |

A secured credit card. You have to put down about $2000, and you can only charge up to that limit. |
