What are the worst ways to use a credit card?
Like... a spending spree?

Living off your credit cards is the worst use I can think of. They should only be used in the case of an emergency, unless you have the income and discipline to pay them off in full each and every month.

To go overboard and charge everything in sight, and going over the limit of the credit card. If you can't make the payments or pay off, its not worth it.

Spending it on a night of prostitutes and drugs seems like a really bad way to do it.

Exceeding your limit, forgetting that while you don't pay for items now, you will have to in the future, and making the minimum monthly payment (or no payment at all).

Of the above, I'd say only making the minimum monthly payment is the worst...you're paying for the interest being generated on the unpaid portion of your credit balance and to only make the minimum payment means that not only is the majority of your current balance still on the card, but you're spending between the minimum payment you've made and the next bill that comes in the mail.

i got my first credit card when i was 19., used it a little for this and that. well when i quit my job 2 1/2 years later i used it to pay for gas, buy stuff i needed. for 4 months.....well it got maxed out. and im still paying it. but i can honestly say i didnt use it on spending spree. but now i wish i still had it, could really use it for some of my bills.

Exceed your limit....

Do NOT pay your minumum monthly payment due each month.

Abuse your credit limit....

Buying items that you DON'T need....

THE FIRST KEY TO MANGING YOUR CREDIT:

- Establish a BUDGET for your monthly INCOME and EXPENSES.

- Do NOT go into DEBT if you can avoid it.

- Pay cash for food, gas, etc.

- USE Credit for major purchases, car repairs, appliances or a major purchase if necessay.

Check with your local Banker on Tips to Using Credit Wisely

Do NOT buy things on IMPULSE like a "Shopping Spree" you mentioned above. I know its tempting to use the CREDIT CARD instead of Cash. Try using your Debit Card instead.

GOOD LUCK! :-)

One of the worst ways has to be using your credit card to pay off a debt or put a down payment on a house.

o make sure that you can save money like this there are a few precautions that you should absolutely adhere to:

Keep a track of the 0% intro APR Period. If it is 12 months you have the liberty for 12 months, if its 16 months you have it for 16 months.

Make sure to check out what the 0% intro APR period applies to, balance transfers, purchases, or what all restrictions are there.

When you don't pay the monthly outstanding balances in full, does the 0% intro APR period lapse and a higher rate instantly applies.

What happens to the rewards if you don't pay your balances in full?

Most importantly, the outstanding balance which accumulates at the end of 0% intro APR period should be available with you so that you can dispose off the loan before a high APR rate is slapped on your account.

These precautions and questions when taken care of can make owning a 0% intro APR credit card truly rewarding one. Read more about it at: http://www.credit-card-gallery.com/article/271,Using_the_0_APR_credit_card_to_your_maximum_benefit
