The issue is that in most states (if not all), the legal age to enter into a credit agreement is 18. I had to be on my daughter's account when she was 16 in order to have a debit card issued. Even then, the bank (Bank of America) would only issue the debit card to me. It was up to me at that point to allow my daughter to use it or not. |
