You can find a complete list of credit cards for people with bad credit here:
http://www.asapcreditcard.com/unsecured-offers.html
Although these offers tend to have higher interest rates (and additional fees) when compared to 'standard' credit cards-- they'll help you build and improve your credit score. Eventually, with regular on-time payments-- you'll be able to apply for better offers with lower APR's and less fees.
Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK! |

So far the best card I have found for building/rebuilding credit is Orchard Bank. They have a low interest rate (14.90, good for a sub prime card), low annual fee, no hidden fees and if you manage your account properly, they give excellent credit limit increases
Avoid First Premier, Tribute, Rewards 660, Imagine, Total, and Continental Finance. These are all high fee / low limit credit cards that amount to nothing more than a scam.
Avoid secured credit cards. Most report your status as secured and this does nothing to help build/rebuild your credit.
Avoid Capital One. They do not report your credit limit and that damages your credit score. Example, they give you a $500 limit and you use $250, they will report your limit as $250. This will damage your credit score because instead of using 50% of your credit limit, it looks like you are using 100% of your credit limit. |

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution.
I will hereby talk from my personal experience.
I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,
a good place to start in my humble opinion is a straight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :
http://umgarticles.atspace.com/debt-consolidation.htm
if it helps kindly remember me in your voting!.. cheers! |

Orchard Bank. They have a card for just about anyone that applies, even secured cards which would probably suit you a little better. Getting your credit back on track is not going to happen overnight and it's no different with a secured card. Granted you would have to put a deposit upfront in a savings account in order to get the same amount in a line of credit, but you can also think of this as a way to start a savings for yourself since the deposit would be tied to a savings account that gains interest. It works in your favor because it not only disciplines you to create a savings for yourself, but you can also increase the credit line by adding to the deposit every once in a while. Just be sure to pay more than the minimum payment on time every month and don't max out the card and usually after a year you get your deposit back with a little bit of interest and either the card will convert to a regular credit card or you'll receive an offer for an even better card. I posted some links to some decent secured cards as well as orchard bank.
Good Luck |

Look for a "secure credit card". You pay up front, so they aren't extending you credit, but you can use the card like any other Visa/Mastercard. If you keep that account in good standing your credit score will improve. |
